U9 Rugby at York House

As a coach it is really nice to see your team respond in a match with those things they have been training in over the week. That was certainly the case with the U9A team who played two matches today. The first was against York House. Those lucky enough to see this match saw some real quality rugby from both teams. It was a hard fought encounter and was end to end. The final score was 1-1 – a very fair result. They then played St Martin’s who tried very hard but didn’t quite have the power or passion of the Lockers Park team. Well done to Lolu who scored a hat trick. The U9B team was also in action and played with the same amount of passion as the A team. Their matches ended in two draws. The overwhelming impression from the afternoon though was the enjoyment of rugby by all those taking part – players, coaches and spectators. Thank you York House for hosting a great afternoon of rugby.
