Music is something that is regarded very highly at Lockers Park with the majority of pupils playing at least one instrument. The range of instruments being learnt is huge, as demonstrated by the variety played in today’s Informal Concert. For those of you wondering what this is, it is a concert where pupils can play what they have learnt, no matter their ability. Well done to Jason and Thomas who performed in front of an audience for the first time. Jason has had three lessons, Thomas two. The other thing about the informal concert is you can come and go as you please and the pupils are dressed informally. There was some fantastic music on offer today & a special mention must go to James, playing in his first Lockers Park Concert. Bearing in mind he is in Year 5 his violin piece was particularly impressive – I’m told at Grade 7 level. The best thing about the Informal Concert is at the end Exeat starts (a long weekend)!
