Very well done to George who took part in the IAPS National Swimming Finals at the Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Not many swimmers get the opportunity to swim competitively at this venue so George made the most of his chance. 4,600 swimmers from 285 schools took part in the heats. Standing on the starting blocks (the ones used in the Olympics) George’s heart must have been racing. George swam the best he ever has and came 17th out of 20th, achieving a personal best… a sub 32 second time in the 50m free!
