One of the skills that most of our pupils are going to need in the future is the ability to speak in public. It can be very daunting, especially if you are on a stage by yourself speaking to a large audience. At Lockers Park we do a myriad of things to encourage our pupils to have the confidence to speak in public. Today our Year 8 pupils were in action. They had to prepare a speech that could last no longer than 3 minutes about a subject dear to their hearts. For example Roman spoke about rugby, something he is passionate about and Samir about sweets (he has a sweet tooth!). Mrs Sims gave her judgements once everyone had spoken. Well done to Hayden and Louis – the joint winners.
