Each September at the first Exeat the Staff hold a Macmillan Coffee Morning for themselves. It’s a nice way for everyone to meet up and relax just before the school breaks up for the Exeat. Traditionally members of Staff bake and bring in cakes. Since The Great British Bake Off it has also become quite competitive, with some rather exotic creations being created. Very well done to Mrs Hill who won the Bake Off this year with her chocolate cake. The spare cakes were put in the Boys’ Hall and anyone who wanted to could have a slice if they made a donation to Macmillan. Many thanks to Mrs Roberts who organised the event and the raffle of prizes. We raised £256.64 which will be on its way to Macmillan next week.
