Lockers Park’s annual Balloon Debate returned with passion and talent aplenty. We saw speakers as varied as HRH The Queen, Deadpool, Joe Biden, Isaac Newton and Gordon Ramsay competing to stay in the balloon.
After two rounds of ejections, questions from the floor and much hilarity, we were left with Elon Musk (Sebastian), Martin Luther King (Diyon), Ghandi (Thomas) and HRH (Henry). These four standout acts were hard to separate, but the judge, Mrs Young, was bowled over by the confidence, clarity and rhetorical devices of Martin Luther King. Congratulations to Diyon – a great result for a great debate!
