Entry To Lockers Park

Pupils Seeking a Reception Place

Visit us for a Stay & Play session, where your son will have the opportunity to join our Reception class for a fun activity and play time, while you enjoy a coffee with our Reception Teacher and Headmaster in the same location (you’re welcome to take part in the activity, too!). Upon seeing a nursery report and meeting your child at a Stay & Play session, we can let you know if we’re able to offer a place.

Our next Stay & Play sessions for children considering a September 2023 entry are on:

  • Friday 20 May 2022, 9.30-11am (fully booked)
  • Friday 30 September 2022, 9.30-11am.

Book your Stay & Play session here.

We typically have upwards of 40 families enquiring for a place in our Reception class of 16 pupils; we encourage families to contact us as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

For Pupils Seeking a Place in Years 1 to 8

Visit Us

Attending a Personal Tour or coming to an Open Morning is a wonderful way for you to tell our Headmaster about your son and what’s important in his education, and to see Lockers Park for yourself. The Open Morning is a good time to get an overview of the school, where you will meet our pupils, see our classes in action, and speak with our Headmaster and teachers. The personal tour is a dedicated time to discuss your son and family with our Headmaster. You are welcome to choose one or both of these options, and are welcome to bring your son along, too.

Book your personal tour here and find out about our next Open Morning here.

If your child is moving from another school we always encourage parents to seek the advice of their current school first.

Register your child (fill in a Registration Form and pay the non-refundable £100 Registration Fee (£50 for siblings)) to guarantee him a place at Lockers Park, subject to the outcome of his taster day.

Taster Day

We will then invite your son to join us for a Taster Day, which we aim to make as fun and welcoming as possible. During the day we will assess your child’s academic performance. The purposes of the test are to ensure that your son will cope with all that we have to offer, and to identify pupils who may need extra support, some stretching or an alternative teaching approach to achieve their potential.

We offer the opportunity for a taster boarding night for families interested in flexi or full boarding

School Report

We ask to review your child’s most recent school report.

Offer and Acceptance

We let you know if we can offer a place within 48 hours of your son’s taster day. If we can offer a place, we ask you to fill in our Acceptance Form and pay our Acceptance Deposit, and look forward to the day when your child will start at Lockers Park.

New Boys Day

We invite our new pupils to join us for our New Boys Day in June. This is a wonderful opportunity for your son to meet his peers and form tutor.

For Overseas Families

It’s not a problem if you are unable to visit us; we can offer you a one-to-one video meeting with our Headmaster. Mr Taylor would like to learn about your son and what’s important in his education, and will introduce you to Lockers Park. We ask that your son joins the video meeting, for an informal interview with our Headmaster. Book your video meeting here.

After registering your son, we will offer him our admission tests, which he can sit online, at home, independently. We also ask to see his most recent school report.

Lockers Park has an HMRC Child Student Visa Sponsor Licence and we are able to support your son with a Child Student Visa application if necessary.

Moving Up from our Pre-Prep to our Prep School

Boys who start in our Pre-Prep will be assessed prior to joining our Prep School in Year 3, to ensure that Lockers Park is still the best school for them.
