For Pupils Seeking a Reception Place
We invite you to attend a Stay & Play session. Your son will have the opportunity to join our Reception class for a Nature and Environment lesson, to play in our Pre-Prep garden, to meet our school pets Snakespeare the Corn Snake and Isaac the Beaded Dragon, and to enjoy a snack. You’ll have the opportunity to do all of this too, and to enjoy a coffee with our Reception Teacher and Headmaster.
Our next Stay & Play session is Friday 24 September. Book your place here.
We typically have upwards of 40 families enquiring for a place in our Reception class of 16 pupils; we encourage families to contact us as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
For Pupils Seeking a Place in Years 1 to 8
Attending a Personal Tour or coming to an Open Morning is a wonderful way for you to tell our Headmaster about your son and what’s important in his education, and to get a good feel for Lockers Park.
We like to meet your son at this point, but if you would prefer you can visit without him.
Register your child to guarantee him a place at Lockers Park, subject to the outcome of his taster day. Fill in a Registration Form and pay the non-refundable £100 Registration Fee (£50 for siblings).
We invite your son to join us for a Taster Day, which we aim to make as fun and welcoming as possible.
During the day we will assess your child’s academic performance. The purposes of the test are to ensure that your son will cope with all that we have to offer, and to identify pupils who may need extra support, some stretching or an alternative teaching approach to achieve their potential.
We offer the opportunity for a taster boarding night for families interested in flexi or full boarding
We ask to review your child’s most recent school report.
Offer and Acceptance
If we can offer your child a place, we ask you to fill in our Acceptance Form and pay our Acceptance Deposit, and look forward to the day when your child will start at Lockers Park. We encourage families to accept an offer by the Autumn Term proceeding the year they wish their son to join us, as spaces are limited.
New Boys Day
We invite our new pupils to join us for our New Boys Day in June. This is a wonderful opportunity for your son to meet his peers and form tutor.
For Overseas Families
If you are unable to visit us in person, we can offer a one-to-one video meeting with our Headmaster. Mr Taylor would like to learn about your son and what’s important in his education, and will introduce you to Lockers Park. We ask that your son joins the video meeting, for an informal interview with our Headmaster. Book your video meeting here.
After registering your son, we will offer him our admission tests, which he can sit online, at home, independently. We also ask to see his most recent school report.
Lockers Park has an HMRC Child Student Visa Sponsor Licence and we are able to support your son with a Child Student Visa application if necessary.
Moving Up from our Pre-Prep to our Prep School
Boys who start in our Pre-Prep will be assessed prior to joining our Prep School in Year 3, to ensure that Lockers Park is still the best school for them.
