Seizing Opportunities in 2026

This morning Deputy Head Noleen Corrigan addressed the boys on the importance of using free time productively.

She spoke about the wealth of opportunities available to our boys and used a TedTalk to highlight the value of our time and how we choose to spend it. The original talk was aimed at 18 year olds, however it still applies to our boys who use devices to watch tv, game, chat to friends and endlessly scroll.

Mrs Corrigan asked, by a show of hands (including staff), for an honest response to her questions on how much time they spent in front of screens and how they might better spend their time instead. The boys gave great examples including surfing, snowboarding, reading, learning new skills and researching subjects they are curious about.

The extended day ay Lockers Park enables boys to spend more time embracing challenging and enjoyable activities, away from the temptations of screen time.
