A Fantastic Festival of Cricket

Our Under 10 cricketers enjoyed a wonderful day at Harrow School, taking part in an exciting Cricket Festival against a number of strong opposition schools.

Playing four hard-ball pairs cricket matches throughout the day, the boys demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship and growing confidence at the crease and in the field. Festivals such as these provide invaluable opportunities for boys to develop their skills in a competitive yet supportive environment while representing Lockers Park with pride.

The boys also enjoyed a delicious lunch and the chance to experience cricket in the outstanding surroundings of Harrow School, making for a memorable day both on and off the pitch.

The festival was part of Harrow School’s renowned cricket programme, led by former England international and Director of Cricket, Mark Ramprakash. Widely regarded as one of England’s finest batsmen, Ramprakash scored more than 35,000 first-class runs and represented England in 52 Test matches.

Adding to the occasion, Harrow’s Mr Dan Escott brought his own wealth of experience to the festival. Before joining Harrow School, he captained Oxford University Cricket Club and enjoyed a distinguished first-class cricket career, scoring centuries and taking wickets for Oxford. His passion for the game and commitment to developing young cricketers provided a wonderful example for our boys throughout the day.

Experiences such as these are about far more than results. They inspire ambition, develop confidence and allow boys to learn from exceptional role models while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to Mark Ramprakash, Dan Escott and the Harrow School cricket staff for hosting such a fantastic festival.
