At Lockers Park, we support gifted and talented boys with abilities significantly above average for their age. These qualities may be shown in core academic subjects such as maths, English, or science, or in areas of outstanding talent such as music, sport, art or exceptionally creative thinking.
Gifted children often demonstrate advanced vocabulary, excellent memory, keen curiosity, original ideas and the ability to understand new concepts quickly. Our goal is to provide the right level of challenge and encouragement so that a child with these attributes continues to thrive.
Our Director of Studies oversees the identification of Gifted and Talented pupils within the school, working closely alongside class teachers and subject specialists.

We understand that while a boy may have exceptional skills in one, or multiple areas, he remains a child in need of the usual forms of encouragement, confidence building and social interaction. - Offering Bespoke Extension Programmes: To ensure that each gifted boy is challenged with personalised academic support.
- Structured Sessions: To encourage pupils to think laterally, solve problems creatively and deepen subject knowledge.

Supporting Talented Boys
As a school that focuses on the individual talents of all our boys, we are well placed to support boys with exceptional talent in sport, music, art and drama. We have excellent teaching for these subjects within Lockers Park and offer a flexible and encouraging environment where these skills can be fostered.
