The Boarding Schools Association’s COVID-Safe Charter

Posted: 18th November 2020

Since the start of the Autumn Term, the Lockers Park Boarding House has been officially recognised by the Boarding Schools’ Association as fully complying with their COVID-Safe Charter.

Pupils and parents alike love our Boarding House, but it’s always nice to get further proof and reassurance with an official external endorsement to demonstrate that our boarding house and wider school is a safe environment for our pupils.

We have made many adjustments to keep our boys’ ‘bubbles’ safe, from allocating one staircase to Years 7 and 8, and another to Years 5 and 6, and allocating separate sinks, toilets and showers to the different age groups.

It’s been a busy term for both our full and flexi boarders, with, COVID guidelines and lockdown allowing, visits to the local sweet shop, riding around our leafy grounds on bikes, walks in Ashridge, pizza and film nights and much more.

This Boarding Schools’ Association’s COVID-Safe Charter is a voluntary code that we follow, to give confidence to everyone that Lockers Park has rigorous requirements that ensure our boarding house is a safe environment for pupils. The charter can be found here.
